Sinopsis:

Sad Movie sendiri adalah sebuah drama romantis anthology yang memiliki 4 cerita berbeda yang terjadi dalam kota Seoul dimana setiap ceritanya tidak saling berhubungan satu sama lain (kecuali 1 cerita). Cerita pertama mengisahkan kisah cinta seorang pemadam kebakaran, Jin-Woo (Jung Woo-sung) dengan kekasihnya, Su-Jung (Jung Woo-sung), yang bekerja di sebuah stasiun TV sebagai seorang penerjemah acara berita bagi para bisu-tuli. Su-Jung yang sudah lama menunggu Jin-Woo melamarnya selalu berharap bahwa kekasihnya itu akan meninggalkan pekerjaanya yang berbahaya itu suatu saat nanti. Sementara itu Jin-Woo sendiri begitu mencitai pekerjaanya dan ia menunggu momen yang tepa untuk melamar Su-Jung.

Cerita kedua mengisahkan seorang gadis bisu-tuli dengan bekas luka bakar di pipinya, Su-eun (Shin Min-ah) yang juga adik dari Su-Jung. Su-eun yang bekerja sebagai badut di sebuah taman hiburan bertemu dengan seorang pelukis muda, Sang-gyu (Lee Ki-woo). Namun karena merasa minder karena kekurangan yang dimilikinya, Su-eun tidak pernah mau melepas kostumnya disaat ia bertemu dengan Sang-gyu yang selama ini juga penasaran dengan dirinya yang tersembunyi dalam kostum badut tersebut.

Cerita ketiga mengisahkan hubungan seorang ibu, Ju-yung (Yeom Jung-ah) dan putranya yang masih kecil, Hui-chan. Ju-Yung adalah tipe wanita workaholic yang tidak memiliki waktu bagi Hui-chan. Namun berawal dari sebuah kejadian hubungan mereka yang sempat dingin mulai menjadi hangat kembali.

Kisah terakhir adalah kisah Ha-seok (Cha Tae-hyun) seorang pemuda yang bekerja serabutan sebagai target pukul seorang petinju. Harapannya hanya satu : bisa mendapat banyak uang untuk bisa merebut kembali cinta kekasihnya Suk-hyun (Son Tae-young).

Ya, Sesuai judulnya, Sad Movie memang adalah sebuah film yang menjual melodrama romantis tingkat tinggi layaknya film-film drama romantis Korea Selatan sejenis dengan akhir yang sudah bisa ditebak seperti apa. Namun setidaknya film ini berani tampil beda dengan menyajikan sebuah drama multiplot yang digarap dengan presentasi dan elemen teknis cukup baik, khususnya visualnya yang indah dan memanjakan mata penontonnya.

Plot

Synopsis English

The trophies lined up in the training hall bear witness to the past victories of the Manseh Taekwondo Team, but these days the team is but a shadow of itself. Only one member, the quiet reclusive captain Min-kyu, is even remotely capable. The coach Koh demands that the team reaches the semi-finals of big upcoming tournament, but Min-kyu is the only one who hasn’t already given up.

When the team runs into a local group of street thugs, they are all beaten to a pulp, and the thugs are throw in jail. In sheer frustration Koh quits, saying there’s nothing more he can do for the team. When he leaves he advices Min-kyu to come with him, but the young student will not abandon his team. The school administration is in a rut. Still, they feel they can’t give up on the team, because that would mean sacrificing 50 years of legacy. The Taekwondo team was once the pride of the school, and if they give that up they have nothing.

As a last desperate resort, the headmaster of Manseh turns to the thugs who beat up his team. He offers them a simple choice: Either be expelled from school, or join the Taekwondo team. Standing behind bars in prison the offer suddenly seems very appealing.The thugs turn up at the training hall, but they are met with no love from Min-kyu, the only remaining member of the old team. He feels that the thugs degrade the team with their attitude, but unless he quits he’ll have to accept their presence.

Film ini menceritakan sebuah sekolah yang dulunya merupakan sekolah yang unggul akan olahraga taekwondo dan sering mendapatkan gelar juara. Tapi kini ekskul taekwondo hanya sedikit peminatnya, sekalipun ada, mereka sama sekali tidak serius. Hanya satu yang benar-benar serius dalam taekwondo yaitu hyunbin. Pelatih taekwondo sekolah itu pun akhirnya malas mengajar di sekolah itu dan pindah ke sekolah lain.

Di sekolah itu ada geng berandalan yang hobinya buat onar. Geng itu dipimpin oleh Kim Dong Wan. Suatu hari geng itu mendapat masalah hingga ditangkap oleh polisi. Kepala sekolah datang untuk membebaskan mereka tapi dengan satu syarat, mereka bisa bebas asalakan mereka mau masuk tim taekwondo dan bertanding untuk kejuaraan. Akhirnya dengan terpaksa mereka menyetujui syarat itu.

Sedangkan untuk pelatih, kepala sekolah mencari alumni sekolah itu yang bisa melatih taekwondo, namun tidak ada yang berminat, sampai akhirnya terpilihlah seorang pelatih taekwondo yang sebenarnya ga jago jago amat taekwondonya, malah ia terkenal sebagai loser di timnya, namun pernah tidak sengaja mengalahkan lawannya di pertandingan.

Synopsis

Storylie

In the year 1793, 17 years after Jeongjo became the King of Joseon, a series of murders occur. Remnants of the regional Wolfsbane flower is found near the long metal needle. But, while Detective K is holding the murder weapon, prison guards come into the cell and assume that Detective K murdered the city governor. Now imprisoned, Detective K awakes to find dog fancier Seo-Pil (Oh Dal-Su) standing over him. Seo-Pil helps Detective K escape from prison.

Storyline

In 2003, the period blockbuster Once Upon a Time in a Battlefield drew over three million admissions at the box office for its humorous take on Korea’s own battle of the three kingdoms – Baekje, Goguryeo, and Shilla – during the seventh century. Eight years later, director Lee Joon Ik (The King and the Clown) advances towards Pyongyang Castle with the equally uproarious sequel Battlefield Heroes. In the first film, the rising kingdom of Shilla aligned with Tang China to attack Baekje in the Battle of Hwangsanbul. This time the target is the even more powerful Goguryeo, but tables turn and alliances shift when the Shilla realize that the Tang are trying to take control of the Korean peninsula. The game has changed, but the battle mode certainly hasn’t as Battlefield Heroes punctuates the storied war with broad satire, everyman sensibilities, and hilariously intricate strategies to win without fighting. Jung Jin Young returns as Shilla’s master strategist Kim Yoo Shin, while Lee Moon Shik continues to live by his wits as lucky survivor Thingy. The cast also includes Ryu Seung Ryong as fierce Goguryeo general Nam Geon, Yoon Je Moon as the traitorous Nam Saeng, Sun Woo Sun as brave maiden Gap Sun, and Running Man’s Lee Kwang Soo as hot-blooded soldier Mun Di. Hwang Jung Min also reprises his role as the king of Shilla in a cameo appearance.

Storyline

When the Korea-Japan World Cup kicks off in 2002, a North Korean squad leader stationed at the DMZ is frustrated that the political situation is preventing him, a football enthusiast, from enjoying the games. One day, the squad comes face to face with their archenemy—an armed South Korean reconnaissance squad—while they patrol the DMZ border! Tension is short-lived, however, when they find common ground in their mutual football fever. Eventually, secret radio communications begin, with the South suggesting the North Korean squad listen to match broadcasts with them through radio transmission. But the Frequency Monitoring Team detects the squad's discreet correspondence with the South Koreans. Refusing to get his men involved, the squad leader turns himself in—and fearing for their leader's life, the squad devises a plan for his escape.
